PATRIOT FAILURE — 3 MISSILES MISS IRANIAN TARGET AT AL UDEID Three Patriot surface-to-air missiles failed to intercept an incoming Iranian ballistic missile targeting Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, according to initial reports. Al Udeid hosts US Central Command's forward headquarters, thousands of American personnel, and extensive air operations infrastructure. The Patriot system is designed specifically to intercept ballistic missiles.
